Has potential, but crashing
Under normal circumstances, I would never write a review of a program I had had for such a short time. I bought the program about 20 minutes ago. The first time I opened it, looked around, added some info, and it crashed. I opened it, added some more info, looked around again, and it crashed. Very, very bad start. At least it does not appear to have lost any of the information I had already entered.
IF they can get this sorted out, it seems like a good program *for *the *money. I find the initial interface a little cutesy for my taste, but I was able to find a "skin" that I can live with (Bamboo). There is a large variety of mood icons to choose from, which was very important to me, and a decent selection of symptoms to mark along a scale from "none" to "severe". However, I really wanted to be able to see these variables along a graph, and not only my weight, BBT, cycle length and cycle duration. The program really seems targeted more towards those who are trying to conceive, whereas I am trying to chart my PMS symptoms, to help me not only recognize when perhaps my mood isnt so much about external circumstances as internal chemistry, but also to let me work with my doctor to see if I can help regulate some of the worst of the symptoms. To be able to see easily that I rate anxiety "moderate" and moodiness "severe" at the same point every month would make my life (and probably my boyfriends) more manageable.
All of that said, this is the only program I have found so far that allows me--in a relatively user-friendly interface--to record these things at all, which makes me willing to shell out $4 for it. I will be much, much happier if it stops crashing, however... (hint, hint, developers...)
